Dr. Jamie R. Gomez,

Senior Lecturer III, Chemical & Biological Engineering

Dr. Gomez joined the faculty in 2013. She completed her doctoral research under the National Science Foundation’s Future Renewable Electric Energy Distribution Management (FREEDM) Systems Center. Her research contributed to an understanding of a synthesis and design approach for new electrode materials with application in modern high tech machinery. Her current research is in engineering education which spans simulated design challenges, parleys as a conduit for growing student expert thinking and building self-aware teams for enhanced team performance. Gomez hopes to instill in her learners the attitude of "what's next" instead of "what will be covered."
